The Basic Concept:
Every homeowner gets frustrated waiting for hot water -- but how many stop to think what happens to the 2-3 gallons of water that runs down the drain during the wait? It's wasted! Gone forever! Thousands of gallons of valuable, potable water is wasted every day while homeowners wait for hot water to become available at the faucet. What a waste!
The Grundfos UP15-10 Comfort Series, 1/25 HP Re-circulator Pump and Comfort Valve is a Comfort Series Instant Hot Water System. The stainless steel circulator, complete with timer and 10-foot power cord, is installed directly on the hot water discharge outlet riser located on top of the water heater. The Comfort Valve is installed under the sink at the fixture furthest from the water heater, and the system uses the existing cold water line to return the cold water in the hot water line to the water heater to be reheated.
